CNS Vital Signs is a computerized neurocognitive assessment tool designed to objectively measure brain function following injury. It evaluates key cognitive domains such as memory, processing speed, attention, and executive function. This testing is especially valuable in identifying subtle cognitive impairments after traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) that may not be visible on standard imaging. The results help guide individualized treatment plans and provide clear, quantifiable data to support clinical care.
Diagnostic: CNS Vital Signs is used to assess and quantify cognitive deficits. While it is not a treatment, it plays a critical role in guiding therapy recommendations and tracking recovery over time.
CNS Vital Signs does not replace cognitive therapy. Instead, it provides a baseline understanding of cognitive function and helps identify areas that would benefit from targeted cognitive therapy, which is still strongly recommended as part of the recovery process.
Initial baseline assessment following injury or onset of symptoms.
Follow-up testing every 3–6 months to monitor cognitive recovery and treatment effectiveness.
Additional testing may be recommended based on symptom progression or changes in clinical status.
